The prosecutor’s office presented additional data on the results of the expert examinations assigned to the investigation of the “Petrohan” and “Okolchitsa” cases.

The conclusions of the examinations of two of the bodies found near the hut show the following:

⇒ Death of Plamen Statev was caused by a point-blank shot to the head with a 9 mm firearm. The man’s eyebrows and beard were charred, with no burns on his head and no thermal burns on his face, which is typical of those affected by starting a fire or igniting a fuel leak.

Because of the “Petrohan” case: A case has been filed against a former senior statesman

Decho Vassilev was also killed by a 9 mm gunshot fired at very close range. Burns were found on the wrists and palms, which were probably caused by the ignition of an incendiary liquid covering the hands. The gunshot wound that caused the death could also have been caused by the victim’s hand, the autopsy showed.

⇒ A forensic medical examination of the third body is expected – that of Ivaylo Ivanovfound in the area of the hut near “Petrohan”, which was with partially burnt trousers.

Some of the assigned ballistics examinations have been prepared. According to their conclusions, there are gunpowder particles on Vasilev’s right hand and Statev’s right hand. In terms of composition, they correspond to microparticles found on the barrels of the three weapons that were found next to the bodies.

Ivanov’s hands are heavily bloodiedwhich is why an additional examination was assigned for the presence of gunpowder particles, as well as on the clothes.

Two of the shell casings found at the crime scene were fired from the Glock pistol found next to the bodies.

⇒ Work continues to establish the period of death of the three people found dead in a camper under Mount Okolchitsa. Initial ballistics analysis indicates that there are many gunpowder particles on the hands of Ivaylo Kalushevas well as on the palms of Nikolay Zlatkov. The hands of the 15-year-old boy, however, are missing.
