Peugeot 408: A Stylish New Option in the Czech Market
Peugeot has introduced the updated 408 model to the Czech market, with prices starting at 689,000 Czech crowns as part of a promotional offer.1 While bearing the ‘408’ designation, it doesn’t directly succeed the previous 407 model, which was discontinued in 2010 with the introduction of the 508.1 The 408 distinguishes itself as a crossover, differing from the sedan, coupe, and station wagon body styles of its predecessors.
Design and Features
The modernized 408 emphasizes a striking design, aiming for a “wow effect” to attract customers.1 It features the latest Peugeot i-Cockpit® with dual 10-inch screens – a raised instrument panel for the driver and a touchscreen for infotainment.1 Standard equipment on the Allure trim includes LED headlights, a self-dimming interior mirror, and upholstery combining Tremezzo fabric with artificial leather.4 The higher GT trim adds advanced Peugeot Matrix LED headlights, a front parking assistant, and upholstery options including Alcantara and fraxx knit fabric.4
