Pfizer Ireland Launches 2026 Apprenticeship Programme at Ringaskiddy Facility
Pfizer Ireland is offering 22 apprenticeship opportunities across the country, including positions at its Ringaskiddy, County Cork, manufacturing site. The 2026 Apprenticeship Programme, delivered in partnership with SOLAS, Ireland’s national further education and training authority, provides paid on-the-job learning combined with academic study leading to nationally recognised QQI qualifications.
Apprenticeship Opportunities at Ringaskiddy
At the Ringaskiddy site, Pfizer is recruiting for the following apprenticeships:
- Mechanical Automation & Maintenance Fitter Apprenticeship: A four-year craft apprenticeship.
- Electrical Instrumentation Apprenticeship: A four-year craft apprenticeship.
Who Can Apply?
The programme is open to individuals of all ages, including school leavers and those seeking a career change. Entry requirements are designed to be inclusive and flexible, accepting Leaving Certificate results, relevant QQI qualifications, and Recognition of Prior Learning.
What Does the Programme Offer?
Apprenticeships range from two to four years in duration, providing structured pathways into careers in science, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain. Participants will contribute to the manufacture and supply of medicines, impacting patients in Ireland, and globally. Apprentice Perspective
Sofia Kahwaji, a 21-year-old from Cork City currently in the fourth year of her Electrical Instrumentation apprenticeship at Ringaskiddy, highlights the benefits of the programme. She chose the apprenticeship route to combine academic study with practical experience, stating, “This pathway isn’t about how many points you gain, it’s about being willing to learn and it’s open to anyone who wants to develop real skills.” Pfizer
