The Pinkfong Company Sees Explosive Growth in Global Kids’ Content Market
The Pinkfong Company has demonstrated significant influence in the global kids and family content market, surpassing 210 billion views and 300 million subscribers across all channels. The company’s success is fueled by the continued popularity of its flagship IP, Pinkfong Baby Shark and the rapid growth of next-generation properties like Bebefinn.
Surge in Korean Content Consumption
In 2025, The Pinkfong Company recorded 66.5 billion annual YouTube views, a 52% increase from the 43.6 billion views in the previous year. The company offers over 7,000 pieces of content in 25 languages and has received 87 YouTube Creator Awards (Silver, Gold, Diamond, Ruby) recognizing its platform impact. Notably, views of Korean YouTube content experienced a 296% increase in 2025, reaching approximately 11.1 billion views, making it the fastest-growing language category.
Overseas consumption of Korean content has risen dramatically, now accounting for 90% of total views, up from 75% previously. This growth coincides with increased global interest in K-content, K-pop, and K-culture, exemplified by the success of the Netflix animation “K-Pop Demon Hunters” and the return of BTS [1].
Pinkfong Baby Shark Remains a Global Phenomenon
The “Pinkfong Baby Shark Dance” video continues to dominate YouTube, amassing 16.7 billion views as of March 2026 and maintaining its position as the most-viewed video on the platform for 64 consecutive months [1].
Bebefinn and Emerging IPs Drive Growth
Following Pinkfong and Baby Shark, Bebefinn is rapidly gaining traction, achieving 23.9 billion views in 2025, a 42% increase year-over-year, and exceeding 51.3 billion cumulative views. Other emerging IPs are also contributing to the company’s growth. Moonshark saw a 1,314% increase in views due to short-form content, whereas Super Rescue Team, Dino Lynx Dinosaur Kindergarten, and Red Rex experienced view increases of 300%, 97%, and 30%, respectively.
These IPs have achieved success in the global OTT market, ranking first in the Netflix Kids category in nine countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia, and appearing in the Top 10 in 13 countries [2].
Strategic Expansion and Future Outlook
Kwon Bit-na, Business Strategy Director (CSO) of The Pinkfong Company, emphasized the company’s integrated approach to content, platform, and fandom as key drivers of its global expansion. She also highlighted the positive impact of growing global demand for Korean content [2].
The Pinkfong Company plans to continue expanding its existing IP portfolio and developing new intellectual property to solidify its position as a leader in the global kids and family content market. The company recently completed an IPO raising $52 million to support this expansion [3]. Bebefinn Playtime also topped Netflix Kids category in eight countries including South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Ireland, Singapore, and South Africa [4] and Bebefin Original Series Season 3 was planned for release in the first quarter of 2024 [2].
