The collaboration between Piramīdas and JULIANNA was described as organic, emerging from existing professional relationships and shared musical tastes. JULIANNA, who writes and produces dance music herself, noted that the process of creating “Hey You” occurred without complex planning or complications.
The song maintains the electronic identity of Piramīdas while opening the door to a broader, global appeal. JULIANNA stated that the duo’s sound is versatile enough to be played anywhere in the world, not just in Latvia.

Piramīdas consists of Kristaps Ērglis and Jēkabs Ludvigs Kalmanis. Ērglis was previously a member of the group Triānas parks, while Kalmanis is known by the stage name The Ludvig and has participated in the national selection process for the Eurovision Song Contest, Muzikaspasaule.lv reported.
JULIANNA works across several genres, including R&B, pop, alternative, and dance music.
