Duren’s Impact and Pistons’ Dominance
Duren finished the game with 26 points and 13 rebounds, showcasing his impact immediately upon his return. Cade Cunningham nearly recorded a triple-double, contributing 18 points, 13 assists, and nine rebounds for the Pistons. Tobias Harris added 18 points, and Duncan Robinson chipped in with 17 points.
Detroit’s dominance was particularly evident in the paint, where they outscored the Bulls 68-38. The Pistons also capitalized on Chicago’s turnovers, scoring 28 points off of the Bulls’ 23 lost possessions. Despite 27 points from Josh Giddey, the Chicago Bulls continued to struggle, suffering their eighth consecutive defeat. Matas Buzelis, Jalen Smith, and Isaac Okoro each added 15 points for the Bulls, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Pistons’ strong performance.
The Bulls were without Jaden Ivey, who is sidelined for two weeks due to left knee soreness. Anfernee Simons also exited the game with a left wrist injury.
