Pixel’s At a Glance Widget Gains Sports and Finance Updates

Google’s Pixel phones are getting a boost in at-a-glance information with the addition of Sports and Finance updates to the At a Glance widget. This marks the first time the feature has expanded its information types in quite some time, offering users more personalized and timely data directly on their home and lock screens.

What’s Latest?

• Sports: Users can now receive sports updates directly from Google, including live scores and potentially other relevant information. Google notes that enabling Sports updates may affect battery life.
• Finance: The update also introduces Finance updates from Google, allowing users to track their stocks and financial information at a glance.

Availability and Requirements

This feature is exclusive to Pixel devices running the Pixel Launcher. It is not available on the Google app widget accessible on all Android devices. How to Access the New Features

The Sports and Finance options are enabled by default and appear at the top of the At a Glance settings list. Users can customize their team selections through a shortcut that links to the same system used by Google Search and Discover.
