Police Press Conference: News Updates

On Sunday evening, an Afghan man in his 20s was killed outside his home in Arna.

The police have received a number of tips, but so far there are no suspects or charges in the case.

– The way it happened means that we do not believe the deceased was a random victim, prosecutor Inger-Lise Høyland has previously stated.

The deceased’s wife, who herself was slightly injured, is said to have witnessed the murder. The police have spoken to the wife, and she is said to have been questioned on Tuesday.

– We have not received such a description that allows us to know who the perpetrator is, says Høyland.

In recent days, neighbors have told BA and other media that a perpetrator dressed in black ran from the scene after the murder.

The police urges the public not to buy into these descriptions of the perpetrator.

– It could be another perpetrator, a perpetrator may have changed clothes or run in a different direction than what has been said in the media. We therefore still want tips on all movements in the area, says Høyland at the press conference.
