Pornichet Experiences Significant Population Growth

Recent data from the INSEE census reveals a 3.1% increase in Pornichet’s population, rising from 10,700 to 12,800 residents. Mayor Jean-Claude Pelleteur expressed his satisfaction, stating, “This population increase in Pornichet as 2017 is largely explained by the effect of the health crisis. Covid led many families to re-evaluate their life choices and settle permanently on the coast, either in new housing constructed in recent years, or in second homes that have since become primary residences.”
