A new Portillo’s Hot Dogs restaurant is planned for downtown Chicago, specifically at 300 N. michigan Avenue, according to a permit application filed with the city on December 1, 2025. The restaurant will occupy ground-floor space in the building, requiring kitchen upgrades and related mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work. [^1]
The building, located at the corner of East Wacker and North Michigan Avenue, is a 47-story mixed-use development owned by sterling Bay and Magellan Development Group.
