Portillo’s Plans Downtown Chicago Restaurant at 300 N. Michigan Avenue

A new Portillo’s Hot Dogs restaurant is planned for downtown Chicago, specifically at 300 N. michigan Avenue, according to a permit application filed with the city on December 1, 2025. The restaurant will occupy ground-floor space in the building, requiring kitchen upgrades and related mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work. [^1]
