Prabowo Administration Targets Completion of School Renovations Across Indonesia by 2028

President Prabowo Subianto has reaffirmed his commitment to improving Indonesia’s school infrastructure, aiming to complete renovations of all 288,000 schools nationwide by 2028. The initiative, which began with 17,000 school renovations in 2025, is significantly expanding, with 70,000 schools slated for completion this year.

During a visit to Cilacap 1 State High School in Central Java on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, President Subianto outlined the phased plan for school improvements.
