Prabowo: Corporations Hinder Forest Area Investigation

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – President Prabowo Subianto is aware that numerous parties are obstructing the verification and investigation process of forest area issuance conducted by the Forest Area Control Task Force (PKH).

He stated this while witnessing the handover of funds from fines for administrative violations of forest areas at the Round Building of the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung), South Jakarta, Wednesday, December 24, 2025.

“A significant amount of land area is involved, with numerous corporations violating regulations. These corporations are actively hindering verification, investigations, and resisting efforts, which we fully understand,” Prabowo said.

He explained that these obstructive tactics take many forms.

These include inciting public unrest,employing thugs,and even physically confronting officers in remote locations – actions often unreported by the media and influencers.

“They are instigating people, paying thugs to challenge and fight these officers. we know this is happening, and we are prepared to deal with it,” Prabowo added. He emphasized the government’s commitment to enforcing the law and protecting Indonesia’s forests.
