Indonesia received a negative credit outlook rating from the rating agency Moody’s. On the other hand, another institution, MSCI, also provided a negative report on the Indonesian capital market.

President Prabowo Subianto will open up about Indonesia’s economic conditions following the decisions of the two institutions.

This step will be carried out through an economic workshop entitled ‘Indonesia Economic Outlook’ which is planned to be held next Friday.

This plan was revealed by the Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto after holding a limited meeting at the Presidential Palace, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (11/2/2026).

“The President asked us to make a more complete explanation in the form of an economic presentation, namely the ‘Indonesia Economic Outlook’ which will be held on Friday. There an explanation will be given regarding the government’s position regarding the government’s superior programs,” said Airlangga.

He said the government would convey a series of things regarding Indonesia’s economic conditions. Mainly regarding increasing state revenues and the economic management plan by BPI Danantara.

“Well, this certainly needs to be paid attention to regarding the necessary explanations, especially regarding state revenues which also have the potential to increase, as well as related to Danantara’s plans,” explained Airlangga.

Regarding the rating agency’s reports, Airlangga said that so far the rating given was still at a good level for investment. It’s just that there is a negative outlook from Moody’s.

“It was also reported to the President that from all rating agencies, including Moody’s, Fitch and S&P, the assessment was still at investment grade level. Indeed, there is a negative outlook from Moody’s,” said Airlangga.
