Capcom’s Pragmata Release Date Confirmed for April 17, 2026

Capcom has officially set the release date for its highly anticipated sci-fi action-adventure game, Pragmata, for April 17, 2026. This announcement follows a series of delays since the game’s initial reveal in 2021 and subsequent indefinite postponement in 2023.

A Comedic Reveal

The release date was unveiled during the Capcom Spotlight Showcase with a playful nod to the game’s history of delays. Referencing the infamous drawings from the android character Diana that previously announced postponements, Capcom presented a new note in the same style, this time revealing the April 17th launch date. Capcom also showcased cosmetic items available in the game’s deluxe edition, including costumes for the protagonists and dances for Diana.

Gameplay and Story

Pragmata is a third-person action-adventure game set on a lunar research station. Players control spacefarer Hugh and android Diana as they collaborate to combat a hostile AI and attempt to return to Earth. Gameplay involves simultaneously controlling Hugh, equipped with firearms and a jetpack, while Diana hacks into enemy defenses to reveal weak points. The game features real-time puzzle elements where players guide a cursor across a grid, evading obstacles and activating bonuses to enhance combat abilities.

Platforms and Availability

Pragmata will be available on April 17, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Windows, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S. A demo of the game is currently available on Xbox, PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. Players can also pre-purchase the game on Steam.

Development Details

The game is being developed and published by Capcom, with Cho Yonghee serving as director. Naoto Oyama, Edvin Edsö, and Masachika Kawata are producers, and Yasumasa Kitagawa is the composer. Pragmata is built using the RE Engine.
