Primavera Sound 2027 Line-up Revealed in Barcelona
Primavera Sound has announced its full line-up for its 25th edition, taking place from June 3 to 5, 2027, at the Parc del Fòrum in Barcelona, ourculturemag.com reported. The Catalan festival is skipping staggered announcements and releasing its complete poster in one go, featuring headliners Phoebe Bridgers, Massive Attack, Doechii, Fontaines D.C., Turnstile, Hayley Williams, The Chemical Brothers, Robyn, Bad Gyal, Lola Young, Pavement, Skrillex b2b Ninajirachi, ADÉLA, Prospa, and Caroline Polachek, according to ourculturemag.com and festileaks.com.
Bridgers’ headlining slot marks her first performance at the Barcelona festival, though she played several of Primavera’s international editions in 2022, ourculturemag.com noted. Doechii is also stepping into a headlining role at the event for the first time. Meanwhile, Massive Attack returns to the bill after a torrential downpour cancelled their planned headlining set on the festival’s first day last year. The broader bill includes rare appearances and high-profile returns, such as Bradford Cox performing under the alias Atlas Sound after a seven-year absence, and 81-year-old Vashti Bunyan taking the stage, ourculturemag.com reported.
Alternative and electronic acts join 2027 roster
Alongside the main headliners, the 2027 roster programs a broad mix of alternative pop, rock, and electronic acts. Underworld, FKA twigs, Weyes Blood, Julien Baker, @, Gilla Band, Lip Critic, Dove Ellis, Boy Harsher, Arca, Juana Molina, Tirzah, Jesu, Dinosaur Jr., DIIV, Westside Cowboy, Twisted Teens, Sophia Stel, ear, CHVRCHES, and Metronomy round out the schedule, festileaks.com and ourculturemag.com confirmed. Outlets note that the festival programs roughly a dozen acts capable of headlining other major European festivals.
Because Primavera Sound releases its entire affiche at once rather than through phased rollouts, the line-up acts as an early indicator for the broader European summer festival season. Dutch festivals like Best Kept Secret, Down The Rabbit Hole, and Lowlands frequently share overlapping talent pools with Primavera, while Rock Werchter holds prime position for bookings in Belgium, festileaks.com reported.
