Jakarta – Traffic flow (Traffic) in the Puncak tourist area, Bogor West Java (Jabar) was observed to be stuck at a number of points tonight. Bogor Police Traffic unit personnel are still on standby to smooth the flow of vehicles.
“in terms of the current traffic flow situation, we are still observing queues at Simpang Gadog. This is the impact of the implementation of one-way downward traffic engineering wich we implemented from 13.00 WIB to 18.00 WIB, then returned to normal,” said KBO Bogor Police Traffic Unit Iptu Ardian Novianto, Friday (16/1/2026) evening.
“As a result of this closure, we are still observing a bottleneck at Simpang Pasir Muncang due to the previous one-way closure. Though, the Bogor Police Traffic Unit is still alerting 24 personnel on the Puncak Route,” he continued.
Ardian said that the flow of vehicles towards Puncak, Bogor was still dominating until tonight. Engineering will be implemented to smooth traffic flow.
“If other engineering is needed, we will carry out one-way piece-by-piece engineering. This (one-way piece-by-piece) engineering is applied at obstacle points or trouble spots, such as at Simpang Pasir Muncang so that the congestion can be resolved immediately,” he said.
Congestion Point Tonight
Ardian said that the traffic jam occurred tonight at Simpang Gaodog, Simpang Pasir Muncang, Simpang Jalan Hankam.The traffic jam occurred as vehicles heading towards Puncak were still donating and moving vehicles in and out of the intersection.
“based on observations from CCTV and members in the field, ther are several points of congestion on the trouble spot route. First,as we both saw in front of the hoegeng Gadog Post,at Simpang Pasir Muncang which is in front of the Gadog police Post,there was a bottleneck,” said Ardian.
“Secondly, at the Megamendung intersection, because there is an intersection, community activity is still quiet high until evening. Third,at Jalan Hankam or Lokawiratama intersection,due to vehicles entering and exiting from option routes. Fourth, in the Cisarua Market area which still has economic activity.Apart from that, density is also monitored at the Taman Safari intersection,” he continued.
