This patent, previously secured in the United States and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, signifies a major step forward for the company’s innovative approach to lithium metal battery manufacturing. Graphite constitutes approximately half the volume and weight of a traditional lithium-ion battery, with over 97% of global graphite supply originating from China. Lithium metal boasts a specific capacity ten times greater than graphite, potentially resulting in batteries that are at least twice as light and offer double the capacity of current lithium-ion technology.

A China-Independent Supply Chain

Pure Lithium’s battery technology is designed to be free of graphite, cobalt, nickel, and manganese, establishing a supply chain independent of China.
