QT Sense secures €4 Million to revolutionize Cellular Observation wiht Quantum Sensing
QT Sense, a pioneering deep-tech biotech startup, announced today that it has secured €4 million in funding to propel the advancement of its Quantum Nuova platform. This innovative technology empowers scientists to observe cellular processes in real-time, unlocking deeper insights into biochemical activity and its connection to disease.
The funding round features a €3 million seed investment spearheaded by Cottonwood technology Fund. Existing investor QDNL Participations and an angel investor also participated, demonstrating continued confidence in QT Sense’s vision. Furthermore, the company received a €600,000 grant from the ONCO-Q program, specifically earmarked for cancer research, and an additional €400,000 thru the Quantum Forward Challenge, facilitating collaborative deployments with key research partners.
Conventional laboratory methods often struggle to provide the dynamic, high-resolution view of cellular processes necessary for thorough understanding. QT Sense’s Quantum Nuova platform addresses this limitation by leveraging the principles of quantum sensing. This allows researchers to visualize biochemical reactions as they occur, offering a level of detail previously unattainable.
“We are thrilled to receive this important investment, which validates our approach to studying living cells,” said a spokesperson for QT Sense. “This funding will enable us to accelerate the development of Quantum Nuova and expand its request across a wider range of research areas, ultimately contributing to breakthroughs in disease understanding and treatment.”
The ONCO-Q programme’s support underscores the platform’s potential in oncology, while the Quantum Forward Challenge funding highlights its collaborative nature and commitment to fostering partnerships within the scientific community. QT Sense anticipates that Quantum Nuova will become an indispensable tool for researchers seeking to unravel the complexities of cellular biology and develop innovative therapies.
