R.M. Williams Expands UK Presence with New London Flagship Store

Australian bootmaker R.M. Williams is significantly expanding its presence in the United Kingdom, spearheaded by the opening of a flagship store in London’s prestigious Jermyn Street later this month. The move signals a growing demand for the iconic brand among British consumers and represents a substantial investment in the UK market.

Growth in the UK Market

R.M. Williams has experienced three consecutive years of double-digit growth in the UK, prompting the accelerated retail expansion. By mid-April 2026, the brand will operate eight stores across the country, with projected UK turnover exceeding £15 million for the year. Tattarang, the parent company of R.M. Williams, announced the expansion at a launch event in London.

Jermyn Street Flagship

The new flagship store, located at 108 Jermyn Street, will be the largest R.M. Williams retail space globally, showcasing 73 different boot options. The Australian Financial Review reports the location was chosen for its status within London’s menswear district, being close to Piccadilly Circus, Buckingham Palace and Westminster. The store will focus on specialist fitting services and educating customers about the brand’s craftsmanship and heritage.

Recent UK Store Openings

The London flagship follows recent openings in Bath (November 2025) and Edinburgh (January 2026). A further store in Guildford is scheduled to open in early April, marking four new store openings within a 12-month period. YouTube footage shows owner Andrew Forrest highlighting the expansion.

Global Retail Footprint

R.M. Williams’ global retail network is nearing 70 outlets. In addition to the UK expansion, the brand maintains 55 stores in Australia and six in New Zealand. The company also operates mobile boot-repair services (“The Hut”) and travelling pop-up stores (“The Drover”).

Andrew Forrest’s Vision

Andrew Forrest, owner of R.M. Williams, is driving the international expansion of the brand. He expressed hope that British consumers will embrace R.M. Williams boots, potentially shifting away from traditional wellington boots. Social media posts show Forrest promoting the brand in London.
