Radio 5 Supernova Finalists: Does the Sound Hold Up Offstage?

A musical duet made up of Liene Leitāne and Madara Martinken. The duo’s music reflects life, love and freedom, boldly combining different styles and creating a unique sound in each project. So far, three singles have been released – “Mana telpa”, “Nakts orĘestris” and “Let Them”.

The singer collaborated with Intara Busuli in the song “Can you climb deeper”. Her latest single “Life throws us” continues to strengthen Atvara’s recognition. This summer, the artist performed nine sold-out solo concerts with standing ovations. Atvara has also proven herself on television, where she co-hosted the first GAMMA music award.

The group consists of musicians Kristīne Pāže, Didzis Bardo and Krists Krūskops. “Kautkaili” is based on experiments with nostalgia in music, fusing Latvian alternative pop music of the 90s with worldly soul music, using modern sound layers. The crystal of the group is the singer and songwriter Kristīne Pāže, whose velvety voice and intelligent melodies take you to a world of feelings that you have not yet known.

A musician who produces and writes her own songs in English. She is one of the rare women in the Latvian hip-hop scene and stands out for her musical style, which harmoniously combines elements of R&B, hip-hop, pop and electronic music. Krisy made her debut in 2019 with the single “Don’t Flip Yo Wig”, announcing herself as one of the rising stars in Latvian urban music. She has collaborated with artists March, EV, Shenfi and others. The song “Take It” was written in a songwriting camp in Riga.

A singer who started his solo career nine years ago. Gained wider recognition after participating in “Supernova” in 2022, where he won fourth place. He received the “Golden Microphone” award for the most valuable song of the year in the popular vote. Last year, Mick released the album “Bohemian Diary”, gave his first big solo concert and was nominated for the GAMMA music award as rock musician of the year. He won the fifth place in the song contest “Muzikalā banka” with the song “Stupid conscience”. Mick is active in concerts and has had a powerful year, playing more than 100 concerts.

Tikasha Sakam, real name Nansija Garkalne, is a bright creative personality of the new generation, who has proven herself in television, social media and event management. Her experience covers content creation, production and live management, which has allowed her to successfully combine creativity with professional management. Nancy has hosted various major events and created television projects, as well as proven herself as an actress. In music, Nancy started out as an author and performer for fun, but in recent years has started to share her work more widely. She has collaborated with various musicians, helping to produce and create vocal harmonies. In 2024, she became the winner of the television show, which became an important turning point in her creative path and inspired her to start a solo career.

Legzdina is musical dynamite. Born in Latvia, raised in London and forged in the heat of underground club culture, she is a genre-bending artist known for her fierce verses and powerful vocals that can go from operatic to raw raw in a single breath. Her sound combines confident energy with the jump of a UK garage beat, R&B soul, grime edginess and a heavy dose of glitter. With songs played in international music projects and clubs that smell of sweat and freedom, Legzdina creates music that moves bodies, minds and systems. She has collaborated with Sara Landry and Idris Elba, joined the “Loud LDN” collective and is included in the lists of the most watched artists of various platforms.

Emilija is a musician and songwriter who became known to a wider audience in 2023 after participating in a television singing competition. After the victory, she released her debut single “Sirds pelnos”, which gained wide recognition, was nominated for the “Golden Microphone” award in 2025, and ranked 4th in the finals of “Music Bank”. In 2025, the musician won 2nd place in the Eurovision national selection “Supernova” with the song “Heartbeat”. In the same year, she was nominated for the GAMMA Award in the categories “Solo Artist of the Year” and “Young Artist of the Year”, receiving the award for achievements in 2024. Emilija has performed as a warm-up artist for the groups “Hurts” and “Prāta vētra”. In October 2025, her first album “Tintes sāts” was released, from which the song “Pašam būt” reached the top of the Latvian radio charts.
