Rotterdam – Raheem Sterling is now officially eligible to make his debut for Feyenoord after receiving the necessary work and residence permit, the club announced on Thursday.

This means the 31-year-old, who joined Feyenoord as a free agent after leaving Chelsea by mutual consent in January, can now feature in official matches for Robin van Persie’s side.

Feyenoord will have immediate access to the winger for next Sunday’s match against Telstar at De Kuip, kicking off at 8 p.m. Local time.
