Charlamagne Tha God and Rajah Caruth: A NASCAR Partnership Breaking Barriers

Rajah Caruth, a Winston-Salem State University graduate and rising star in NASCAR, continues to expand the sport’s reach with a groundbreaking partnership. The Black Effect Podcast Network, co-founded by media personality Charlamagne Tha God, sponsored Caruth during the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race at Darlington Raceway on Saturday, March 21, 2026.

Charlamagne’s Trackside Support

Charlamagne Tha God demonstrated his support for Caruth not only through sponsorship but also with a personal appearance at Darlington Raceway. He shared photos and videos on social media, documenting his time trackside with Caruth before the race. “I am thoroughly enjoying @rajahcaruth_ racing in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series at Darlington Raceway. We truly thank God for it all!!!,” Charlamagne posted on social media.

Caruth’s Performance and Standing

Driving the No. 32 Chevrolet for Jordan Anderson Racing Bommarito Autosport, Caruth showcased a striking black paint scheme featuring the “Black Effect” branding. He completed all 147 laps of the Sports Clips Haircuts VFW Help a Hero 200, finishing 23rd after starting 19th. His best lap time was 31.75 seconds.

Following the race, Caruth maintains a 10th-place position in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts standings with 151 points through six starts. He currently trails points leader Justin Allgaier by 155 points, but boasts three top-10 finishes and has maintained a perfect record of zero DNFs (did not finish) this season.

The Black Effect and Winston-Salem State Connection

The partnership between Caruth and the Black Effect Podcast Network represents a significant cultural moment for NASCAR. Founded by Charlamagne Tha God and Dollie S. Bishop, the Black Effect is the world’s largest podcast publisher dedicated to Black voices and culture. Notably, Bishop, like Caruth, is also a graduate of Winston-Salem State University, adding another layer of connection to the collaboration.
