TORONTO – Scottie Barnes was eager to review film following the Toronto Raptors‘ narrow 110-108 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Monday, their closest win of the season.

barnes contributed 16 points, six rebounds, and six assists. He also delivered a critical block with just 0.2 seconds remaining,following RJ Barrett’s game-winning layup 18.2 seconds earlier.

“We need to identify areas for improvement and continue to develop,” Barnes stated at the post-game press conference. “Each game provides a learning possibility to refine our play and address weaknesses.

“We must hold each other accountable. These are the moments when we challenge each other to be better.”

The Raptors’ (9-5) fourth consecutive win propelled them a half-game ahead of the New York Knicks for the top spot in the Atlantic Division. Toronto now holds third place in the Eastern Conference.

“It’s encouraging to win, but we need to remain humble and hungry. It’s still early in the season,” Barnes said. “We’re a very good, very talented team.”

Brandon Ingram led all players with 27 points, adding six rebounds and a key block on Charlotte rookie Ryan Kalkbrenner’s dunk attempt with nine seconds left.
