Supporting Siblings: FEDER Offers Workshops for Families Navigating Rare Diseases

The Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases (FEDER) is offering a series of workshops designed to support families affected by rare diseases, with a specific focus on the often-overlooked needs of siblings who do not share the same diagnosis. These workshops aim to provide a space for sharing experiences and developing strategies for improved communication and family dynamics.
Workshop Structure
The workshops will be conducted in two separate sessions. The first session is designed for parents and caregivers, while the second session is exclusively for siblings who are not affected by the rare disease and are not currently undergoing diagnosis.
Session Dates and Locations – Parents
The first session for parents will be held in person at the following locations and dates, each lasting two hours:
- April 9, 2026 (Thursday): Torre Jussana, Avenida del Cardenal Vidal i Barraquer, 30
- April 15, 2026 (Wednesday): C/ Islas Canarias 95, local 4
- April 13, 2026 (Monday): C/ del Doctor Castelo, 49, Retiro
- April 15, 2026 (Wednesday): Bohemia Square. 1. Low
- April 14, 2026 (Tuesday): C/Morales, nº 1, Local 5
An online session will also be available on April 16, 2026 (Thursday) at 11:00 a.m., lasting two hours.

The second session, for siblings, will be held in person at the following locations and dates, each lasting two hours:

- April 27, 2026 (Monday): C/ del Doctor Castelo, 49, Retiro

- April 28, 2026 (Tuesday): C/Morales, nº 1, Local 5
An online session will also be available on April 30, 2026 (Thursday) at 11:00 a.m., lasting two hours.

Interested participants can register through the following registration form. The deadline for registration for both in-person and online workshops is April 2, 2026, or until spaces are filled.
