Ras Al Khaimah Opens First Business Consultancy in Guangzhou
HH Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, inaugurated the emirate’s first business consultancy in China on October 21, 2026, according to a Business Wire press release issued via AETOSWire. Located in the industrial hub of Guangzhou within Guangdong Province, the new office aims to serve as a primary platform for strengthening economic engagement between Ras Al Khaimah and Chinese enterprises.
The inauguration builds upon historical trade routes that historically connected Ras Al Khaimah with China through the exchange of goods such as porcelain and pearls. This centuries-old maritime history coincides with more than four decades of formal diplomatic relations between the United Arab Emirates and the People’s Republic of China, providing a foundation for the new commercial outpost.
“Our history and our experience have taught us that partners look beyond opportunity alone,” HH Sheikh Saud said during the opening ceremony, as reported by the Ras Al Khaimah Media Office. “They seek stability, transparency, governance and commitment. This is the environment we have built in Ras Al Khaimah.”
Guangdong Provincial Meetings and Cultural Exchanges
During his official visit to Guangdong Province, HH Sheikh Saud met with Wang Xi, Member of the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial Committee. The two officials discussed strategies for strengthening bilateral relations and expanding economic cooperation across multiple sectors of mutual interest.
The inauguration ceremony featured several cultural events, including a traditional Chinese lion dance and the distribution of red packets. Alongside the official opening, the Ras Al Khaimah 2027 Calendar Sketches Competition engaged nearly 200 Guangzhou students aged 11 to 15. The participants created artwork inspired by Ras Al Khaimah’s natural landscapes, mountains, beaches, and cultural traditions. Organizers selected 12 winning entries to appear in the official 2027 calendar.
Guangzhou Consultancy Aims for Continuous Industrial Collaboration
The newly established consultancy in Guangzhou is designed to facilitate expanding cooperation across key industrial and commercial sectors. According to the press release, the office intends to move the bilateral relationship beyond periodic interactions toward continuous and transformative collaboration.
