Razer Launches MagSafe-Compatible Laptop Sleeve for Charging Your iPhone and AirPods
Razer has introduced a recent 16-inch laptop sleeve featuring integrated wireless charging capabilities for smartphones and other small devices, such as earbuds. Priced at $130, the sleeve offers two MagSafe-compatible wireless charging zones, allowing users to simultaneously charge an iPhone and AirPods. MacRumors first reported on the launch.
Wireless Charging and Design Features
The wireless charger is seamlessly integrated into the top of the laptop sleeve. The magnets also function as a clasp, securing the sleeve when closed during transport. Power is supplied via a USB-C cable, compatible with 30W+ power adapters or a Mac. Though, charging speeds are capped at 15W, meaning newer iPhones capable of 25W wireless charging will not achieve their maximum charging speed.
The sleeve provides a dedicated 15W charging spot for an iPhone and a 5W charging spot for AirPods. It is not designed to charge two iPhones concurrently due to the single 15W charger and space limitations.
Protection and Compatibility
Beyond its charging capabilities, the Razer Laptop Sleeve 16 prioritizes device protection. It includes built-in padding to safeguard MacBooks from drops and a plush interior lining to prevent scratches. The exterior is constructed from a durable, black polyester material designed to resist wear and tear and offer protection against rain. Reinforced corners further enhance impact resistance.
The sleeve is designed to accommodate laptops up to 16 inches, including Apple’s 16-inch MacBook Pro.
