Recreativo Verde secured the Torneo Apertura senior men’s hockey sobre patines title on August 11, defeating Recreativo Rojo 6 to 3 in a decisive third match organized by the Unión Entrerriana de Hockey sobre Patines (UEHP), according to local sports reports. The victory capped a competitive intra-club final series between the two Primera División squads of Recreativo Bochas Club in Paraná.
The Decisive Final Series
The championship battle between the institution’s two competitive rosters stretched to the limit after a fluctuating three-game series. According to coverage from Uno Entre Ríos and El Monterizo, Recreativo Verde claimed the opening encounter 6 to 4, before Recreativo Rojo bounced back with a dominant 5 to 0 shutout in game two. In the final showdown, Recreativo Verde secured the trophy with a 6-3 victory.
Juan Pablo Portaluppi led the champion’s offense with two goals, supported by a two-goal performance from Ignacio García and tallies from Laurentino Alvarenque. Recreativo Rojo’s response came through a brace from Federico Bounanduci alongside a goal from Joaquín De León.
Club Depth and Regional Competition
Reflecting on the unique setup of two club teams reaching the final, player Ignacio García explained in an interview with El Once Deportivo that the club split its large roster at the start of the season to maintain internal parity. “What matters is that whether the Reds or the Greens lose, the champion will still be Recreativo,” García noted regarding the club-wide success.
Beyond local competition, García pointed out that Recreativo aims to strengthen its standing in the Liga Nacional. While noting that the Paraná side routinely competes against major programs from other provinces—such as those in San Juan where infrastructure includes 22 clubs and indoor rinks—he acknowledged that structural differences in match frequency present an ongoing hurdle for local development.
