Role Overview: Regional Sales Specialist

The Regional Sales Specialist (RSS) will be responsible for building a pipeline of opportunities, leading competitive conversions, and delivering clinical and economic value messaging to healthcare professionals. The role requires close collaboration with Territory Managers, Clinical teams, and Strategic/Commercial leadership to execute account plans and accelerate the adoption of Johnson & Johnson MedTech’s EP portfolio, including the CARTO® 3 System. The RSS will provide expert consulting, technical support, and clinical product support to healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect, qualify, and develop new opportunities to build a regionally aligned pipeline.
  • Lead competitive conversions and new-site activations, coordinating evaluations, demos, and trials with appropriate clinical coverage.
  • Deliver clear clinical and economic value messaging to EP physicians, lab staff, service line leaders, supply chain, and administrators.
  • Execute account and territory plans aligned with regional priorities.
  • Co-manage target accounts with Territory Managers, independently owning designated development accounts.
  • Coordinate resources and align cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain deep EP market fluency and stay current on product information and clinical literature.
  • Analyze account and market data to prioritize targets and maintain accurate forecasts within the CRM system.
  • Conduct business in accordance with J&J/HCC policies and applicable laws.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in healthcare or business-to-business (B2B) sales.
  • 2+ years of successful sales experience (medical device or healthcare preferred) with a proven track record of prospecting, account development, and achieving sales objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle product questions and objections using structured sales methodologies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with clinical and administrative stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and CRM systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet hospital credentialing and travel requirements.

Preferred

  • Experience with EP/cardiology devices (capital and/or disposables) and a history of competitive conversions.
  • Experience coordinating multi-facility initiatives and leading hospital conversions.
  • Familiarity collaborating with strategic/commercial stakeholders.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $100,000-$135,000. A company car is included through the Company’s FLEET program. Travel & Work Environment

This position requires approximately 80% travel within the assigned region, including overnight stays and occasional weekend work. The work environment includes hospitals, EP labs, and professional office settings. The role requires sitting for extended periods, working in a hospital laboratory setting, attending live patient cases, and wearing protective gear.
