Rei Sakamoto Falls to Oliver Crawford in Delhi Open Semifinal

New Delhi, India – February 21, 2026 – Second seed Rei Sakamoto of Japan was defeated by fifth seed Oliver Crawford of Great Britain in the semifinal of the ATP Delhi Open on Saturday. Crawford secured the victory in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3, advancing to the final of the ATP Challenger 75 event.

Match Recap

Despite a strong showing throughout the tournament, Sakamoto, 19, could not overcome Crawford’s consistent play. The match took place at the DLTA Complex, where the tournament has been held since February 16th.

Crawford Advances to the Final

Oliver Crawford demonstrated his skill in the all-British quarterfinal against Jay Clarke, winning 3-6, 7-5, 6-3 after saving a match point. He carried that momentum into the semifinal match against Sakamoto.

Banthia and Donski defeated Divij Sharan and Karan Singh 6-3, 6-4, while Poonacha and Isaro won against Luca Castelnuovo and Rio Noguchi 6-2, 6-2.
