Latvian musical duo Arvis Reiks and singer Esmeralda have released a new single titled “Klusumā,” blending pop music and hip-hop to encourage listeners to pause amidst daily haste and evaluate their inner values, nra.lv reported. The track serves as the second recent collaboration between the rapper known from the group Olas and singer Laura Melbārde, who previously provided vocals for their shared hit “Nārnija.”
Themes of Conscience and Reflection in the Single
The song centers on an individual’s relationship with conscience, personal values, and those close by. According to the project’s creative team, the track addresses the constant noise and external pressures of modern life, positioning silence as a necessary tool for organizing thoughts and processing emotions.
Reiks stated that peace and quiet allow individuals to view themselves and life situations from a different perspective. “I think that in silence we can best hear ourselves,” Reiks said, noting that time away from daily routines helps find clarity and aids personal healing.
Esmeralda added that silence occasionally highlights internal restlessness rather than immediate peace. “Sometimes it is precisely in silence that you manage to look at yourself from the outside and notice how many thought threads are intertwined in one ball inside you,” Esmeralda said, emphasizing that quiet functions as a method for self-exploration.
Anime-Inspired Animated Music Video Production
The single release is accompanied by an animated music video styled after Japanese anime aesthetics. Reiks and Esmeralda developed the visual concept together, participating in the scenario creation, location selection, and storyline development.
The animated characters in the video are modeled after the physical appearances of the two musicians. This artistic direction aims to give the song’s emotional message a distinct visual dimension by placing the artists into a dreamlike world.
