U.S. Army Resource Efficiency Manager Workshop Set for April 2026

REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. – The U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville’s Resource Efficiency Manager (REM) program will host its annual REM Workshop from April 21-23, 2026, at the Center’s headquarters, Building 300, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.

Workshop Focus and Participation

The workshop is designed to provide training for currently contracted REMs, their company representatives, and REM program customers. However, the dates of April 22-23 are open to all interested parties. The focus will be on the support and energy savings that REMs provide to their customers, as well as the energy technical and project support offered by the Center’s Energy Division.

The Role of Resource Efficiency Managers

The REM program aims to improve the effectiveness of installation energy programs by identifying projects and practices to reduce energy and water costs through the expertise of contracted subject matter experts. REMs work to increase the effectiveness of Army garrison energy programs by identifying and reducing these costs.

REM Responsibilities

REMs contribute to garrison energy programs through data review and analysis, identifying energy conservation measures for new projects, preparing project implementation documents, tracking energy savings project performance, and documenting activities in monthly reports for savings validation.
