Strict Credential Demands for Incoming Counsel
Candidates eyeing the position must hold the Certificate of Aptitude for the Profession of Attorney (CAPA). They also need a Master 2 degree in business law, corporate restructuring, or a related discipline, recruitment notices confirm.
Applicants must bring two to three years of professional experience in restructuring and distressed companies within a law firm environment. The role requires practical proficiency in English to manage cross-border files. Successful candidates must additionally demonstrate the ability to analyze complex financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow forecasts.
Splitting Time Between Lille and Paris
The incoming associate will embed within the firm’s restructuring team based in Lille. The role requires a split-schedule arrangement: two days per week on-site in Lille, with the remainder of the week stationed in Paris.
Daily responsibilities cover a wide spectrum of advisory work and litigation. The new hire will represent distressed companies, corporate executives, shareholders, financial and bond creditors, strategic buyers, and investment funds.
Managing Amicable Procedures and Judicial Recoveries
Duties span assistance with amicable procedures like ad hoc mandates and conciliation.
Associates also manage collective proceedings, including safeguards, judicial recoveries, and liquidations. Furthermore, the role involves handling distressed mergers and acquisitions.
