Rice Volleyball to Host NCAA Tournament Selection Show Watch Party
HOUSTON, TX – November 29, 2024 – The Rice University volleyball team will host a watch party as they await their fate in the NCAA Women’s Volleyball Tournament selection show this Sunday, November 30th, at the Brian Patterson Sports Performance Center. The event provides an possibility for fans to gather and support the Owls as they learn their postseason destiny.
Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. Central Time, wiht the selection show broadcast live on ESPN beginning at 5:00 p.m. CT. The event is free and open to the public, encouraging all supporters of Rice Athletics to attend and demonstrate their enthusiasm for the team’s accomplishments.
Paid parking will be available in West Lot 2 for attendees. Light refreshments will be provided throughout the event.
The Rice Owls (21-9 overall record as of November 29, 2024) have enjoyed a landmark season, highlighted by a program-best 17 consecutive victories and their inaugural American Athletic Conference Regular Season Championship. Currently ranked No. 23 in the NCAA’s Rating Percentage Index (RPI),the team is poised to make its ninth appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
This season’s success builds upon a strong tradition of Rice volleyball, and the team is eager to represent the university on the national stage. The selection show will reveal their opponent and location for the first round of tournament play.
