Richarlison requests federal police investigation over property dispute in Angra dos Reis involving Flávio Bolsonaro

Brazilian footballer Richarlison published a video on social media demanding that the Federal Police investigate Flávio Bolsonaro regarding the ownership of a luxury property in Angra dos Reis, Rio de Janeiro. In the recording posted on Saturday (17), the forward claimed that the coastal estate was taken through legal maneuvers after he refused to sell the home. The athlete stated that he invested approximately R$ 10 million in the mansion and received no reimbursement after losing possession of the land.

The property dispute centers on a coastal estate featuring a private waterfall near the local airport. The mansion was purchased in 2020 by Sport 70 Intermediação de Negócios, a company owned by Renato Rocha Velasco, formerly an agent of the player, alongside Alencar da Silveira Júnior. In 2022, a preliminary court order transferred possession of the property to WT Administração de Imóveis e Bens S/A, a company owned by Willer Tomaz, an attorney linked to Flávio Bolsonaro, following a repossession claim filed by M Locadora de Veículos e Transportes Turísticos Ltda. The corporate entities maintained that the firm held historical rights to the land dating back to the 1980s.

Court Filings and Legal Status of the Angra dos Reis Mansion

Judicial records from the Rio de Janeiro courts show that a sentence extinguished the process in October 2025, without judgment on the merits, due to the waiver of one of the parties—Yta Consultoria, Sport 70 Intermediação de Negócios, and Renato Rocha Velasco, linked to Richarlison. In January 2026, after the final judgment, the process was archived. Court documents indicated that R$ 2.6 million had been paid to third parties without title.

Attorney Willer Tomaz challenged the footballer’s public statements. Tomaz asserted that Richarlison was never an official party to the judicial proceedings and stated that the enterprise linked to him lost across all judicial levels, including the Superior Court of Justice (STJ). The attorney stated that a prior police inquiry regarding the land transfer had been archived due to a lack of criminal evidence. Furthermore, Tomaz noted a lawsuit in the 4th Civil Court of Brasília for moral damages against the player over the social media accusations.

Political Reactions to the Property Dispute Claims

Edinho Silva, national president of the PT and political coordinator for President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s campaign, addressed the controversy. Silva questioned the senator’s involvement. In contrast, representatives for Flávio Bolsonaro maintained that the parliamentarian had no irregular involvement in the real property transaction, stating that the litigation occurred between the owner and the possessor. According to the senator’s team, Flávio Bolsonaro maintained only a personal friendship with Willer Tomaz and appeared in the legal files solely as a witness designated by Alencar da Silveira.
