It’s just over 10 years since Rihanna released her eighth and last studio album ‘Anti’. With anticipation building for a possible ninth record this year, Spotify has some stats on the continued popularity of the last one.

“Its streams increased 129% from 2020 (four years after its release) to 2025, growing more popular with each passing year,” explained the company in a post for its Spotify Selects Substack newsletter.

“As the album ages to double digits, listeners younger than 30 accounted for 69% of its streams in 2025,” added the post, noting that the US, Brazil and UK (in that order) are the biggest countries for those streams.

The post also points to Rihanna’s Super Bowl half-time performance in 2023 as a key moment in the album’s recent surge, with daily streams of ‘Anti’ up 228% from their average before the show.

All of this cements Rihanna’s status as a streaming superstar, regardless of the fact that in the last decade she’s only released a smattering of singles and soundtrack songs.

She currently has more than 104 million monthly listeners on Spotify alone, making her the fourth biggest artist on the platform.
