Not yet «direct contact», no. But I’m aware of the interest. It’s a source of pride, obviously. Representing Portugal is a clear objective.
You where also invited to play for Cape Verde. Is that option still on the table?
Yes, I had an invitation from cape Verde.It’s a country I have a lot of affection for, with people I appreciate.The door isn’t closed, but right now my focus is on Portugal.
Do you follow the Portuguese League closely? What do you think of the competition for a place in the center of defense?
I follow it closely, yes. There’s a lot of quality in the Portuguese League. The competition is tough, there are many good center-backs. But that’s normal,it motivates me to work even harder.
Looking ahead, do you dream of playing in the Champions League?
Of course! Playing in the Champions League is a dream for any player. I’m working to achieve that goal, to continue improving and reach the highest level. Hopefully, I can play in the Champions League in 2026/2027.
What are your strengths as a player?
I think I’m a strong player in the air, good in one-on-one situations, and I’m improving my passing ability. I’m also a good communicator, which is important for a center-back.
And what areas do you need to improve?
I always think there’s room for advancement. I want to improve my speed, my agility, and my decision-making. I’m working with the coaches to develop those areas.
what are your goals for this season?
My goal is to have a great season with my club, to continue to develop as a player, and to earn a call-up to the National team. I want to help my team achieve it’s goals and continue to grow as a footballer.
