Rockets Host Ohio in Key Conference Test on Tuesday

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women’s basketball team returns to Mid-American Conference play with a key matchup against Ohio on Tuesday, Feb. 10 in Savage Arena. Tipoff is at 7:00 on ESPN+ and the Rocket Radio Network.

On Saturday, the Rockets (12-9, 6-4 MAC) closed their non-conference schedule with a strong 76-67 victory over Southern Miss, never trailing in the contest. Patricia Anumgba dazzled offensively, leading with a season-high 25 points. Rocket sophomores Evalyse Cole (14 points, 11 rebounds) and Faith Fedd-Robinson (20 points, 15 rebounds) each notched double-doubles. Toledo has won four of its last five and six of its last eight.

The Bobcats (13-9, 7-4 MAC) fell to Old Dominion, 84-76, at home on Saturday and has lost four of their last five games.



Toledo is sixth in the MAC standings, a half-game behind Ohio. The Rockets will go for the regular-season sweep, having defeated the Bobcats, 75-66, in Athens on Jan. 24.

Opening Tips

  • The Rockets are 9-2 at home this season and have won seven straight since Dec. 17. Toledo is now 65-8 at home since the 2021-22 season.

  • Sophomore Evalyse Cole notched her first career double-double on Saturday, with 14 points and a career-high 11 rebounds. Her 14 points also tied a career high.
  • On Saturday, the Rockets assisted on 21 of their 27 field goals, a season high. Junior Kendall Carruthers led the charge with a season-high six helpers.
  • Toledo leads the league and is tied for 30th in Division I in attendance, averaging 4,011 fans per home game. The last two home games have drawn the biggest crowds of the season – 5,461 against Bowling Green and 4,296 against Southern Miss.

Rockets in the MAC Rankings

  • Toledo is 32nd in the nation and third in the league with a plus-7.5 rebound margin.
  • The Rockets are also holding their opponents to just 29.5 rebounds per game, fewest in the MAC. Individually, Faith Fedd-Robinson is up to ninth with 6.6 rebounds.
  • UT’s 43.5% team field goal percentage sits third in the conference.
  • Individually, Miriam Diala is fourth in the league, shooting 56.4%, Fedd-Robinson is 14th at 47.9% and Evalyse Cole is 16th at 47.9%.
  • Kendall Carruthers’ 2.8 assists per game puts her 14th in the league. She is averaging 4.0 apg over her last five games.
  • Defensively, Toledo is allowing 63.6 points per game, third-fewest in the league.
  • Individually on defense, Patricia Anumgba’s 1.5 steals per game puts her tied for 15th in the MAC, while Fedd-Robinson’s 15 blocks are tied for 11th.
  • Anumgba has made 1.5 three-pointers per game, 15th in the MAC. Ella Weaver has made 1.4 per game, 18th in the league.
