WWE Superstar Roman Reigns is playing Akuma in the upcoming Street Fighter movie. For months fans have been speculating about what Reigns’ portrayal of the Capcom super villain might look like. Now, we certainly know without a doubt.
Reigns took to social media on December 11 and dropped this image of himself as Akuma, and it is downright frightening.
What Does Roman Reigns Look Like As akuma?
The image is pulled from the first Street Fighter movie trailer that premiered around The game Awards. Reigns is fully transformed into the “Master of the Fist”-long, spiked dark hair, glowing red eyes, heavy beads and rope around his neck, and a sleeveless gi with stylized kanji on the back.
It’s game-accurate in the best way. The look leans hard into the exaggerated, over-the-top visual style that Street Fighter fans expect. The fiery eyes, the demonic aura, the intimidating silhouette-it all translates. Reigns doesn’t just look like he’s playing Akuma. He looks like he could destroy you with a Raging Demon.
I’m hoping Reigns has incorporated some aspect of his WWE moveset into the choreography for the Street fighter action scenes. Here’s a look at the trailer.
