Romelu Lukaku has completed a permanent transfer from SSC Napoli to Turkish Süper Lig club Fenerbahce, according to an official club announcement on August 12, 2026. The 33-year-old Belgian striker joins the Istanbul side for an initial fee of 6 million euros plus potential add-ons, marking a new chapter following an injury-plagued season in Italy.
Transfer Details and Financial Structure
Fenerbahce will pay SSC Napoli an initial 6 million euros to secure the center-forward, according to reports detailed by transfer journalist Gianluca Di Marzio. Additional performance-based clauses could push the total fee higher, with 2 Mio. Euro tied to individual achievements and another 1 million euros dependent on winning the Süper Lig championship. Lukaku’s contract with Napoli previously ran until the end of the 2026/27 season, carrying a net salary of 6 million euros that made him one of the Italian club’s top earners.
