Romeo Moreno: Zozaya’s New Ring Name Confirmed in WWE NXT

The Spanish pro wrestler formerly known as Zozaya has officially been assigned a new ring name by WWE: Romeo Moreno. The change was revealed during a live NXT event on February 21, 2026, in Sanford, Florida, where Moreno teamed with Malik Blade against Dorian Van Dux and Harlem Lewis. Fightful first reported the news.

WWE’s Recent European Signings

Moreno is one of several European wrestlers signed by WWE last year. Mike D Vecchio now wrestles as Dorian Van Dux, and Aigle Blanc has been rebranded as Elio LeFleur. WrestleTalk notes that all four wrestlers – Moreno, Van Dux, LeFleur, and Dusan Novakovic – signed with WWE in October 2025.

The Name Change Process

Zozaya, whose real name is Jaime Garcia, had reportedly already proposed the name “Romeo” during meetings with WWE officials. Planetawrestling.com indicates that the name had been considered for some time, with previous iterations including “Mike Garcia” and “Jaime García.”

Debut on the Horizon?

Even as a television debut date for Romeo Moreno has not been announced, the recent debut of Elio LeFleur on NXT suggests that Moreno and Dorian Van Dux may soon follow. Bodyslam.net highlights that WWE recently trademarked several new ring names, including Moreno’s, signaling their intent to utilize these talents on the main roster.

Other Trademarked Names

In addition to Moreno, Van Dux, and Angels, WWE has also trademarked names like Kai Kavari, CJ Valor, and Santi Rivera. The identities of the wrestlers who will adopt these names remain unconfirmed as of February 23, 2026. WrestleTalk will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
