Ronald Koeman Honored with Tile in PSV Walk of Fame

PSV Eindhoven will honor Dutch national team coach Ronald Koeman with a tile in the Philips Stadion’s Walk of Fame. The unveiling will take place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, before the Eredivisie match against AZ Alkmaar .

A Storied Career with PSV

Koeman enjoyed a successful stint with PSV as a player from 1986 to 1989, making 130 appearances. During his time in Eindhoven, he secured three consecutive league titles and two KNVB Cup victories. He was likewise a key member of the PSV team that won the European Cup I (now the Champions League) .

Return as Manager and Continued Success

Koeman also served as PSV’s manager from 2006 to 2007, leading the team to another league title in his sole full season .

Recognition from PSV

Marcel Brands, PSV’s general director, emphasized Koeman’s significant contribution to the club’s history. “He put PSV on the map not once, but twice. As a player, he was decisive in our most successful European season ever. As a trainer, he once again proved his worth. That deserves a permanent place in the Philips Stadium,” .

Joining PSV Legends

Koeman will be the 25th member inducted into the PSV Walk of Fame, joining fellow legends such as Hans van Breukelen, Willy van de Kerkhof, Ruud Gullit and former coach Guus Hiddink . The Walk of Fame features tiles with the footprints or handprints of these prominent figures, located near the Oost-tribune of the Philips Stadion.

Koeman will be present at the unveiling ceremony before the match against AZ. He is also scheduled to appear on ESPN’s “Goedemorgen Eredivisie” on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at 10:00 AM .
