RSA and Microsoft Expand Partnership to Secure AI-Powered Workforces with Passwordless Identity Solutions

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – March 24, 2026 – RSA today announced an expanded partnership with Microsoft, bringing enhanced support for the recent Microsoft 365 E7: The Frontier Suite solution at the RSA Conference 2026. This collaboration focuses on bolstering passwordless identity security and securing both human users and AI agents as organizations increasingly adopt AI-driven productivity tools.

Integrating RSA ID Plus for Microsoft with Microsoft 365 E7

By integrating RSA® ID Plus for Microsoft with Microsoft 365 E7, enterprises can establish trusted authentication across hybrid, cloud, and on-premises environments. This integration safeguards sensitive data and privileged operations, addressing the growing need to secure access in a landscape increasingly populated by AI agents.

Strengthening Collaboration Through Microsoft Intelligent Security Association

This expanded partnership follows RSA’s recent joining of the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA), the launch of RSA Advisor for Admin Threats in Microsoft Security Copilot, and the deployment of the RSA ID Plus Admin Logs Connector. These initiatives demonstrate a deepening commitment to collaborative security solutions.

Addressing the Rise of AI Agents and Identity Security

“The rise of AI agents in the enterprise means organizations need to rethink how they secure every identity—human and machine alike,” said RSA CEO Greg Nelson. “Expanded RSA passwordless capabilities and advanced MFA resilience features, now available in Microsoft E7, allow organizations to eliminate passwords, stop advanced identity threats, and streamline secure access at scale.”

Pivotal Partnership for Complex Security Demands

RSA Chief Marketing and Growth Officer Laura Marx emphasized the importance of the partnership, stating, “The partnership between RSA and Microsoft is pivotal for customers facing increasingly complex security demands. By working together through the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association and advancing integrated solutions for Microsoft Entra ID, we empower high-security, highly complex, and highly regulated organizations with the most resilient and innovative security measures available.”

Microsoft’s Perspective on the Collaboration

Maria Thomson, Director of the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association, highlighted the shared commitment to cybersecurity collaboration. “Our partners, including RSA Security, are united by a shared commitment to advancing cybersecurity collaboration, empowering customers to anticipate, identify, and address emerging threats with greater speed, efficacy, and confidence.”

Expanding Passwordless Capabilities

RSA delivers what it claims is the industry’s most comprehensive passwordless solution, encompassing FIDO2, QR code, OTP, biometrics, and hardware capabilities. At RSAC 2026, RSA announced enhancements to its passwordless offerings, including a next-generation version of desktop passwordless for macOS and Windows with high availability options, enhanced mobile passkeys with proximity verification, and datacenter passwordless support for Linux and OS servers.

RSA’s Commitment to Passwordless Implementation

According to RSA, a recent case study by the FIDO Alliance details how RSA successfully implemented nearly universal passwordless authentication for its global workforce.

“At RSA, passwordless isn’t just a feature—it’s a discipline that has to hold when everything else breaks,” said Jim Taylor, President, Chief Product & Strategy Officer, RSA. “While the industry talks about passwordless for the demo, RSA delivers passwordless for the outage, the edge case, and the scenarios that no one else wants to think about. With our newly announced enhancements—ranging from desktop passwordless V2 for both macOS and Windows, to high-availability options that work online, offline, and in hybrid environments, to advanced mobile passkeys and datacenter support—RSA passwordless ensures that organizations never compromise.”

Attendees of the RSAC Conference 2026 can visit RSA at Booth N 6253 to explore these new passwordless enhancements.
