Sporting CP Injury Updates: Diomande, Pedro Gonçalves, Ioannidis, and More
Lisbon, Portugal – january 15, 2026 – Sporting CP manager provided a comprehensive injury update following recent matches and international duty, revealing several key players are currently sidelined. The updates concern a range of players, impacting team selection for upcoming fixtures, including the crucial Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain.
The most concerning news revolves around Ivorian international, Daniel Diomande. The manager confirmed Diomande sustained an injury while on international duty and is currently unavailable. “Diomande is crippled, he was crippled from the national team, he is out of the game,” the manager stated, expressing frustration with the situation.
Alongside Diomande, Pedro Gonçalves (known as “Pote”) and Fotis Ioannidis are also confirmed as unavailable for selection. Debast, having had a more prolonged period of rest, is physically available but will have limited playing time.
