Rush Announces 2027 “Elevate From the Norm” Residency at Las Vegas Sphere

Rush Announces Elevate From the Norm Residency at Sphere in Las Vegas

Progressive rock icons Rush have announced a five-concert residency at Las Vegas’ Sphere venue, scheduled for late May 2027, according to cbc.ca. The newly revealed engagement, titled “Elevate from the Norm,” will take place mere weeks after the scheduled mid-April finale of the band’s ongoing “Fifty Something Tour.”

The upcoming residency will run for five dates, taking place on May 21, 23, 26, 28, and 30, 2027, as reported by CP24. Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson will be joined on stage by touring drummer Anika Nilles and keyboardist Loren Gold. Nilles has taken over drumming duties following the death of virtuoso drummer and lyricist Neil Peart in 2020.

Concocting New Visuals for the Dome

Lee stated that when he first learned about the high-tech, dome-shaped venue and its wraparound LED displays, he imagined it as a natural fit for the visual style of Rush’s concerts. When I first heard of Sphere, I thought to myself, ‘wow, what a shame that RUSH is no longer touring, because this venue sounds tailor made for the kind of visual attitude with which we have always designed our shows,’ Lee said in a statement.

According to iHeartRadio Canada, the setlist for the residency will feature their classic albums 2112 and Moving Pictures in their entirety, alongside a selection of other fan favorites and greatest hits.
