Forlì Secures Victory Over Castelferretti in Intense Volleyball Match
Forlì defeated Castelferretti 3-1 in a compelling volleyball contest held on January 16, 2026.The match, officiated by Libralesso and Bragato, saw Forlì ultimately overcome a resilient Castelferretti side.
The initial sets concluded 25-22 and 26-24 in favor of Forlì, establishing an early lead. Castelferretti demonstrated tenacity, winning the third set 25-16 through strong performances from Marchetti, effective blocking from their central defenders, and impactful service plays by Giuliani. Though, their momentum faltered in the fourth set, which Forlì claimed 25-19 to secure the win.
The Querzoli Forlì team comprised mariella, Kunda N., Bendi, Pirini, Bigarelli, Graziani, Camerani, Massaro, D’Orlando, Peripolli, Silvestroni, Soglia, with Pirazzoli and Tassinari serving as liberos, under the guidance of coach Visani. Sabini Castelferretti’s lineup included Gaggiotti, Violini, Cesarini, Giaccaglia, Giuliani, Schiaratura, Mariotti, Reginelli, D’Angelo, Licitra, Gasparroni, Freddi, with Marchetti and Giombini as liberos, coached by Silvestrini and Sciati.
Despite the loss, Castelferretti coach Silvestrini acknowledged the team’s competitive spirit. “We faced one of the most solid and physical teams,” he stated,adding that minor errors proved costly. Looking ahead, Castelferretti prepares to face Montorio, anticipating a challenging match.
