Brooklyn-based artist sadie has returned with a captivating new single,”Arms Wide,” and announced her signing too the record label Bloody Knuckles. Known for her innovative approach to hyperpop, sadie continues to push boundaries with this latest release.
“Arms Wide” delves into the complexities of emotional engagement, exploring themes of apathy – both in others and within oneself. In a statement about the song, sadie explained, “This song is about confronting other peopel’s apathy, and my own. It’s about caring too much, and not enough. It’s also about loosening a grip on tightly held ideas and beliefs – noticing the things we cling to, and the sense of freedom that can be found in letting them go.”
The accompanying music video, directed by Sharleen Chidiac, visually complements the song’s introspective lyrics and dreamy soundscape.
