Saharan Dust to Cloud Skies Over Austria, West More Affected
A large cloud of Saharan dust is moving over Austria, bringing with it a noticeable haze, particularly on Friday. While all of Austria will experience some impact, the western regions are expected to be more heavily affected than Upper Austria.
“It brings some cloudiness, especially on Friday, with the west of Austria being more affected than Upper Austria,” explained meteorologist Christian Resch of Geosphere Austria in a statement.
The dust cloud has already reached the Balearic Islands, creating spectacular sky conditions there and is now making its way across Europe. Temperatures will remain relatively mild, reaching 12 degrees Celsius on Friday.
