Samsung C&T Wins Asia’s Top Design Award for 6 Years Running

[아이뉴스24 이효정 기자] The three apartment complexes and Raemian Gallery that Samsung C&T Construction Division (Samsung C&T) participated in were recognized for their design excellence.

Samsung C&T announced on the 11th that Raemian One Perla (exterior design, landscaping), Raemian One Pentas (exterior design), and Jamsil Raemian I-Park (landscape) won the Asia Design Prize Award in the space and architecture category on the 10th, and that Raemian Gallery won the main award, ‘Winner’ in the communication category.

Asia Design Prize is Asia’s largest international design contest, with over 1,500 entries from 31 countries around the world. The winning works were selected based on aesthetics, originality, and practicality in the fields of space, industry, and communication.

Raemian One Perla received high praise by winning three main awards in a single complex alone, including the ‘Wind Library Garden’, a book cafe that uses borrowed landscape, a traditional Korean landscaping method, and the ‘Green Art Gallery Garden’, which captures a beautiful night view using media glass, and an exterior design that embodies geometric unity.

Raemian One Pentas has an organic, linear exterior design with the motif of light reflecting on the Han River, and Jamsil Raemian I-Park won the main award for its ‘Blue Forest Garden’, which offers a panoramic view from four different locations, and ‘Blue Wave Playground’, which was designed with the motif of the flow of water and the curved beauty of waves.

Raemian Gallery won the main prize in the communication field with ‘My Raemian City’, an interactive experience content that connects Samsung C&T’s landmark buildings, which were painted by customers, with media art.

With this award, Samsung C&T achieved a significant record of becoming the first domestic construction company to win the Asia Design Prize for six consecutive years, and received global recognition for its design competitiveness in Raemian’s landscaping, products, and galleries.
