Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Early this year Samsung will not only launch the latest flagship Galaxy S series. The South Korean company will reportedly release the Galaxy A57 mid-range cellphone in the near future.
Tech Advisor reports that it is possible that the cellphone will launch in February or March. This is because the certification for the Galaxy A57 appeared in China’s TENAA data last January, so it is likely that it will hit the market in the next few weeks.
The launch timing also makes sense considering the A56, its predecessor, debuted in March. The cellphone can be purchased immediately in the same month.
Regarding the specifications, it is possible that Samsung will adopt the thin cellphone that has been made on the Galaxy S25 Edge into its medium cellphone. This news is also supported by information from Chinese certification which states that the A57 will have a thickness of 6.7 mm, quoted from Tech Advisor, Friday (13/2/2026).
The thickness itself is only reduced by 0.5 mm from its predecessor, while the size of the cellphone is reportedly 161.5 x 76.8 mm. The weight itself is only 182 grams, 18 grams lighter than before.
If this rumor is true, it makes the A57 a compact and comfortable cellphone to hold.
Meanwhile, according to the leaked render image, the Galaxy A57 is rumored to have a thicker bezel at the bottom. In terms of chips, the cellphone will be powered by the latest Exynos 1680 and higher RAM of 12 GB as well as an additional 8GB option.
As for the price, there has been no leak so far. However, Tech Advisor provides its own considerations.
One of them is that the Galaxy S26 series will likely be more expensive due to the increase in RAM and storage prices that have occurred in recent times. Not only that, the A56 which was launched last year has also increased from the A55, namely 499 pounds sterling/US$499 (Rp. 11.2 million/Rp. 8.4 million) from 439 pounds sterling/479 euros (Rp. 10 million/Rp. 9.5 million).
Tech Advisor also says this price is ideal for a mid-range cellphone. The Pixel 9a is also priced the same.
However, there are also other factors related to world economic conditions and a shortage of memory supplies. So all of these things are still uncertain.
For the truth of all this news, you need to wait until Samsung actually brings the Galaxy A57 to the market. Until now there is no official information on when the cellphone will be released.
