Samsung Galaxy Buds4 Series Launches with AI Integration and Enhanced Audio

Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Buds4 Pro and Galaxy Buds4, the latest additions to its premium earbud lineup. These new earbuds feature improved hi-fi audio quality, adaptive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), and integration with artificial intelligence (AI) within the Galaxy ecosystem. Both models are available for pre-order now, with sales beginning on March 11, 2026 .

Computational Design for All-Day Comfort

Samsung states that the Galaxy Buds4 Series was designed using a computational design approach, analyzing hundreds of millions of global ear shape data points and over 10,000 simulations. This process aims to deliver all-day comfort without compromising audio quality. Ikhyun Cho, Corporate VP of Mobile Enhancement R&D Team at Samsung Electronics, emphasized the company’s focus on combining technical audio performance with ergonomic design to provide the best possible listening experience .

Galaxy Buds4 Pro: Enhanced Audio Performance

The Galaxy Buds4 Pro boasts significant improvements, including a new, wider woofer with a space efficiency design. This increases the effective speaker area by nearly 20% compared to the previous generation by maximizing vibration area and minimizing speaker edges without substantially increasing the earbuds’ physical size.

Samsung combines this woofer with a tweeter in a two-way (dual-driver) configuration, supporting 24-bit/96kHz audio playback. This high-resolution format preserves sound details more accurately than standard compressed audio, resulting in a more natural sound spectrum with deep bass and rich treble. Speaker placement is also optimized for ANC performance and to minimize wind interference.

Advanced Noise Cancellation and Call Quality

Software enhancements include improved ANC and Adaptive EQ capabilities. The system analyzes the user’s ear shape and usage conditions in real-time to adjust the frequency profile and noise reduction algorithm. When used during commutes on buses, trains, or planes, ANC prioritizes canceling low frequencies like engine noise while maintaining audio balance.

The Super Clear Call feature utilizes super wideband technology and a machine learning model to isolate the user’s voice from surrounding noise. Samsung claims this system doubles the bandwidth of conventional Bluetooth calls, resulting in clearer voice transmission even in busy environments.

Design and Ecosystem Integration

The Galaxy Buds4 Pro features a canal-fit design for maximum sound isolation, while the Galaxy Buds4 adopts an open-fit design for lighter, more comfortable casual use. Both models maintain the “blade” design with a premium metal finish and an engraved pinch control area for precise touch navigation.

Samsung has also updated the charging case with a transparent clamshell design. The Galaxy Buds4 Pro and Galaxy Buds4 are available in White and Black with a matte finish, and the Galaxy Buds4 also comes in a Pink Gold option exclusively for online purchase.

Integration within the Galaxy ecosystem is a key feature. The Galaxy Buds4 Series supports activation of AI agents like Bixby, Google Gemini, and Perplexity through hands-free voice commands. On the Galaxy Buds4 Pro, users can access AI features without using their smartphone, expanding the earbuds’ functionality. Connectivity is simplified, with earbuds connecting directly upon opening the case near a Galaxy device, without requiring additional app installation. Advanced settings are accessible via the Quick Panel or Buds shortcut on compatible Galaxy devices.

The Galaxy Buds4 Pro also includes Head Gesture functionality for managing calls and interacting with Bixby, enabling touchless control.
